Project: Healthy Market Places
MADCOS, in partnership with the School Nursing Service, is running a series of Healthy Market Places at different primary schools in turn. The idea of the market places is to introduce families to some of the opportunities available in Sefton to improve the health and well-being of people in the borough. Stalls have included Sefton Active Lifestyles, Maghull in Bloom, Hudson Children’s Centre, Liverpool Food Health Workers, Sefton Catering, Sefton Cycle Teams, the FeelGood Factory and many more.
All the marketplaces have been well attended and feedback has been excellent. Some schools have gone one step further and are applying for the Workplace Well Being Charter which Sefton are promoting.
